Despite this, I still have faith in the man to pull off all he has committed himself to. Like I said, he certainly has the talent as a filmmaker to pull it all off, we've seen that with the likes of Pan's Labyrinth (which, if you haven't seen already, do so ASAP - it really is that good), Hellboy (not so much with the sequel, although it was still a fun watch) and The Devil's Backbo
We also had the chance to see the long awaited Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull , the latest Pixar flick Wall-E , Will Smith as a Superhero Movie Games Story Guide|Https://Superheromoviespot.Com/ in Hancock , Angelina Jolie as an assassin in Wanted , Hellboy II: The Golden Army . To keep us laughing we had Tropic Thunder , The Pineapple Express (which I haven't seen) and Get Sma
The crux of the matter hinges on something in the movie industry known as "putting a film in turnaround." Turnaround is basically a way for a studio that owns the rights to a property (in this case, Fox ownership of Watchmen ) to "release" a project and allow another studio to make a film based on that prope
Personally, I'd love to see a sequel to The Rundown , which I think is an under-appreciated film that features Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Sean William Scott cooking up some great comedic chemistry. I'd much rather he concentrate on doing another one of that than do Hancock 2 , because frankly, I don't wanna' see another Hancock . To me, the first installment was a fun-at-times film, but one that didn't live up to its huge potential, IMHO. And the story was fine for one film, but the possible sequel storyline pitched by Berg awhile back didn't sound that good to
In this Weekend Movie News Wrap Up we look at why Simon Pegg isn't an Inglorious Bastard , we see the return of Candyman , Conan gets rewritten, we check out the details of the Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull DVD and we have a look at some more images from Watchm
The legal broo-ha-ha started back in February of this year, when Fox filed a copy infringement and breach of contract suit against studio Warner Bros., which owns the current version of Watchmen being helmed by director Zack Snyder ( 300 ). Fox's claim was that they had obtained the rights to Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' genre-shattering graphic novel, and all subsequent film endeavors related to it, between the years of 1986 and 1
However, when Berg sounded pretty excited about directing Hancock 2 , that was before he landed the Battleship gig , a big-screen adaptation set for release in 2011 with a production start date of Spring 2010. That ties Berg up a lot for what I would guess would be the better part of a year. And that appears to be one of the big reasons why we shouldn't expect Hancock 2 anytime s
I solemnly swear: if Watchmen ends up on the list of great movies that almost made it, I will be leading the charge to make Fox PAY. I will slam every one of the crap movies and TV shows they put out, and use every bit of my blogger-power (it's about 3/4 as potent as flower-power) to downright brainwash every suggestible reader into boycotting any movie released by 20th Century Fox until Watchmen sees the light of day. (Sorry Wolvy, you'll be my first victim. Just to let these stuffed-suits know I ain't playing!) Fox will come to learn the TRUE meaning of the word "backfire," and I think I speak for a great many Watchmen fans when I say t
Are you trembling with fear at the thought of Watchmen getting the ax? Is your stomach churning with a mix of nerves and disgust like mine is? Damn being silent, let your battle-cry be heard on this
One big suprise in the above list is Pixar's Wall-E : I'm really shocked that the R-rating-pushing, PG-13 and mediocre (according to most critics) Hancock actually beat the family friendly Pixar film. Also surprising is that Kung Fu Panda made almost as much as the Wall-E . It looks like despite the universally rave reviews for Wall-E , that the overly message-heavy plot of the movie wasn't as much of a winner with families as other of their films like The Incredibles and Finding Nemo . Heck, even Cars (considered by many to be Pixar's weakest film) made more money than Wall-E at the box off

It seems that Lawrence Gordon gave Warner Bros. the go-ahead to shoot the film. WB figures he owns the turnaround rights, so they're golden (of course this doesn't explain why they didn't do some due diligence on the situation with a crack team of lawye
The Dark Knight was this summer's box office juggernaut, and no doubt will be the year's biggest earner. The big surprise of the summer (and the film that kicked it all off) is Iron Man , which came in second and actually beat Indy 4 in the US! That speaks to both how great Iron Man was and how poor an addition the latest Indiana Jones movie was to the original tril
