Can Michael Bay turn some of those frowns upside down with this sequel that he co-wrote? Will there be more robots, less people, better story, less corniness and better characters? We hope so and some of us are looking forward to finding out from this action-advent

This was not an easy task to say the least. Personally, I'd love to see a sequel to The Rundown , which I think is an under-appreciated film that features Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Sean William Scott cooking up some great comedic chemistry. I'd much rather he concentrate on doing another one of that than do Hancock 2 , because frankly, I don't wanna' see another Hancock . To me, the first installment was a fun-at-times film, but one that didn't live up to its huge potential, IMHO. And the story was fine for one film, but the possible sequel storyline pitched by Berg awhile back didn't sound that good to  
However the end result was pretty damned entertaining (the pre-screen audience applauded when it was over), and stick around for a couple of minutes once the credits start rolling to see a really great bonus scene (no need to hang around to the end of the credits, though). However, when Berg sounded pretty excited about directing Hancock 2 , that was before he landed the Battleship gig , a big-screen adaptation set for release in 2011 with a production start date of Spring 2010. In 2001 Universal took a shot at making the film with Darren Aronofsky ( Requiem for a Dream ) as director with Lawrence Gordon and Lloyd Levin producing a script written by David Hayter ( X-Men, X-Men 2 ). What killed THAT deal was the fact the Universal Studios did not want to entrust such a huge production to Hayter, who wanted to direct the film with Gordon's bless  
The problem with Hancock is that whenever he perpetrates his acts of "heroism," he causes mass collateral destruction, which is displayed in spades at the start of the film as he apprehends the carload of bad guys.
