PlayStation’s focus on a handful of games for E3 2018 was well-known weeks before they held their press conference. With rumors swirling about a potential PlayStation 5 on the horizon, it was apparent that the platform holder would focus on its current crop of announced titles. The Last of Us Part II and Spider-Man are proven winners, and Death Standing continued to intrigue. Ghost of Tsushima, however, was perhaps the most interesting title. A far cry from Sucker Punch’s previous work, Ghost of Tsushima made its presence known at the show and stunned in its debut.
Interestingly, though, Sony launched The Last of Us on PS3 earlier that same year. While the specifics of the PS4's launch date were unknown at the time, many were preparing to say goodbye to their previous console and welcome a new one into their homes. Then came The Last of Us to the tune of rave reviews and incredible sales. Clearly people couldn't wait for the PS4 and had to game right
Fast forward about six months after the PS4 released and Sony announced during E3 2014 that The Last of Us Remastered would be hitting the console in one month. It was a move many anticipated before the PS4's launch, but one that also left a sour taste in some's mouths. Sony was now giving us the "better" version of the game instead of holding back the initial release to coincide with its next-gen launch. Was the game simply not ready for the PS4 in November, or did Sony know it could get away with charging twGhost of Tsushima legends mode|https://tsushimalegend.com/ of Tsushima does share some DNA with Sly Cooper’s stealth sections. Jin can attack enemies outright or stalk them from the shadows and stealthily take them out. While this is out of character for a samurai, Sucker Punch did confirm that the narrative motivates the use of stealth. All of Jin’s samurai allies were killed fighting like samurai. To beat back the Mongols, Jin needs to vary up his tactics, even if it goes against everything he knows.
Sucker Punch creative director Nate Fox confirmed that a local Japanese audio track will be available on all discs to help emphasize the game's historical backdrop. Elsewhere, Fox went on to say that the attacking Mongols in the game who still haven't "learned" Japanese will still speak Mongolian. This means that Ghost of Tsushima is a veritable language lesson for anyone wanting to scrub up on their Japanese and MongolJinsuki is a samurai who wants to become the Ghost of Tsushima, and in order to do that, he must be as unseen as possible. he can use a grappling hook to get the drop on enemies - adding a lot of speed to stealth, a genre that is normally thought of as being slow-paced. Beyond samurai films, games like the Legend of Zelda and Sucker Punch's own Infamous inspired what we're seeing now with Ghost of Tsushima. It's an ambitious game and they were deliberate in their desire to wait to show off until it was ready. Camera angles will be used in ways to make the stances seem more impactful. Nobu the horse was shown off a bit as well, and more will be revealed with him later. The team enjoyed going with a darker tone than what they're used to with the Infamous franchise, and making the scope larger required them to learn new skills - like motion capturing a horse!
Gamers can properly immerse themselves in the bloody battles of 13th Century Japan as developers at Sucker Punch Productions confirm that Ghost of Tsushima will have a Japanese audio option for all regions. Already pushing the boundaries in terms of graphics and hoping to claim the title of most authentic samurai game in existence, Sucker Punch is eager to transport players back to the Mongol invasions of Ja
It'll be interesting to see what path Sony takes, but for now, bets are on Ghost of Tsushima seeing some kind of PS5 support. Sony would be crazy to ignore the huge install base of PS4's (currently sitting at 100 million+ consoles), but it also needs to have something big for when the PS5 rolls around. What better than Ghost of Tsushima , a game we still don't know much abThe private demo allowed Sucker Punch to highlight many of the little details that make the game feel real. Mud splashes about when stepped through, wheat parts as you race by and leaves move across the floor realistically as characters fight. It’s all an impressive sight.
However, with backward compatibility said to be a guarantee, this might not be the case. For all intents and purposes, Sony could offer a patch for any PS4 game that makes it utilize unique PS5 features. Since Ghost of Tsushima may be launching mere weeks before the PS5, maybe a PS5 disc will simply be the PS4 version with any relevant patches applied. It would certainly make for a good excuse to release a "Game of the Year" edition and label it a PS5 exclus
PlayStation's 11-minute Ghost of Tsushima demo whet the appetites of those who were already excited for the PS4 exclusive and undoubtedly lured in a few new fans too. Gamers are hoping for more details at the upcoming PlayStation Experience, and who knows, maybe fans will get to see that Japanese audio track in action? Whether dipping in and out of playing in English or Japanese, Ghost of Tsushima is at least living up to Sucker Punch's ambitions to create a samurai-swinging, Mongol-mashing experience that is visually and audibly uni
