The question is, how does featuring the Whomping Willow in the Hogwarts Legacy wallpaper break canon? Well, in 1971, the Whomping Willow was located at the Hogwarts grounds for the first time. The tree hid a secret passage from Hogwarts to the Shrieking Shack, a house just outside of Hogsmeade, where Remus Lupin would go to transform into a werewolf once every month. It was believed that Headmaster Dumbledore planted the tree for that very purpose. After all, the tree was extremely violent towards any student, excepting Remus Lu  
Of course, inclusivity is important, but this doesn't fix the issue – if anything it may make it more concerning. If there are people working on trying to include trans characters but don't even support them personally, it could impact their portrayal. It may be done incorrectly, distastefully, or just not with the level of care it deserves, only being used as a marketing tactic for Hogwarts Legacy rather than a progressive attempt at inclusiv

Understandably, there are a lot of people who are disinclined to support J.K. Rowling's projects, and even boycott her books , which is bad news for Hogwarts Legacy . In an attempt to get ahead of the controversy, Warner Bros. has added a significant note to an FAQ published after the reveal of the game. One of the questions listed on the FAQ inquires after Rowling's involvement on the new game, and Warner Bros.' answer is that "J.K. Rowling is not directly involved in the creation of the game, however, her extraordinary body of writing is the foundation of all projects in the Wizarding World. This is not a new story from J.K. Rowling. " Elsewhere in the FAQ, Warner Bros. states that Hogwarts Legacy will fit in with the rest of Rowling's body of Harry Potter work, and that the controversial author is supportive of everything that developer Portkey Games produ  
Hogwarts Legacy will also be an original story unrelated to the events within Harry Potter and will serve as an open-world RPG that has players creating their own characters and sending them on a magical journey. Apart from spells, potion brewing is probably one of the most important skills a witch or wizard needs to learn. A vast and intricate potion brewing system would not only suit the game, but enhance the open world experience of exploring Hogwarts. Besides providing buffs and resistance, potions would aid you in other ways like gaining access to restricted areas - via invisibility for instance. Or perhaps prevent the Whomping Willow from detecting
